RESEARCH & PLANNING; analysation of cd covers.

Tinchy Stryder -->;

Kwasi Danquah is better known by his stage name Tinchy Stryder, he is a popular British pop/rap vocalist.Hefirst rose to popularity with the song "Take Me Back", which was performed with Taio Cruize, who is also becoming rapidly popular. The song peaked at Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart in January 09. He then released the appropriately named "Number 1", which he performed with Ndubz, which entered the UK chart at Number 1 in April 2009. The album cover is very eye catching, the use of bold colours is very useful.The colours could be classed as complementary colours as they are the direct opposites. The cover also seems as if Stryder is 'moving' - giving us the impression that his genre of music is very upbeat and therefore fits in with the genre really well.

Kano -->;

Kano has really risen from the underground to the mainstream with his most recent single ‘Typical Me’. His talents are apparent and he has rapidly increased in popularity. He see's himself as a unique individual, who is himself, and no-one else. His album cover looks slightly "matrix like" sugguesting that he as an individual holds some form of power within his music. The grime genre is displayed on the front of his album just to really promote and show the type of music he feels most passionate about.

Dizzee Rascal -->;

Dizzee Rascal became extremely popular in 2003, when he brought out his first mainstream album, Boy In The Corner, and has had success in the charts with songs such as "Dance With Me" "Holiday" "Bonkers" and "Fix Up" which all contain a beat of which is somewhat addictive to us as an audience. His album cover is pretty unique, and displays a yellow, vibrant background with him sat in the corner clad in black. These two colours promote some sort of warning, making the music cover look appealing to a younger audience as it illudes the idea of danger within the music.

ChipMunk -->;

I AM CHIPMUNK is Chipmunks debut album which was released in 09, he has been featured in many remixes since then such as "Stay" with Jay Sean. His album cover displays him sat on his album cover title, displaying his recent climb to the top. The light behind the title signifys the spotlight that Chipmunk enjoys standing in. The "I AM" also confirms that he is happy with who he is.
